For what it’s worth, it’s “a”, not “an”. In spoken language it’s “an” since “HTML” is pronounced with a beginning vowel. In written text, however, you always use the correct grammatical term, which would be “a”, as “HTML” begins with a consonant, an “H”.

We tried to get frickin’ sharks but because they are on the endangered species list it would have taken months to clear up all the red tape.

We do have some mutated sea bass though. And they are ill tempered.

Yes, it does ‘sound’ like most acronyms would be ‘an’. I would expect An SQL statement to walk into a bar, but I pronounce it “Es Que Elle”. It would be ‘A’, if pronounced “Cee Quil”.

I was going to comment about the fricken lazers… are there also frickin’ sharks?

… btw, i made up this css joke – stop me if you’ve heard this…
