Early mornings

This morning I had to be at work at 6:45am. No, that’s not a typo. So I set my alarm to 6am hoping to be able to just get up and go straight to work. I couldn’t get to sleep last night (despite reading To Done’s excellent article) so ended up playing Soduku on my cellphone till after midnight.

Although I heard the alarm, I snoozed it twice. If it wasn’t for a rubbish truck noisely emptying a bin at 6:15am I would have slept right through.

I realised I didn’t really know 6am existed (except for Red Bull/Vodka/Trance enfused nights…) but WOW, Wellington is absolutely beautiful at that time. Absolutely gorgeous. Well, apart from the stumbling drunks who are still out from the night before… Now *that* is wrong, walking to work when people are still out partying.

This morning I had the first session of our company’s Speechcraft course, hence the reason for the early morning, very generously run by the local Toastmasters club.
